Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has been proven time and time again as the ultimate martial art for self-defence and fitness. Mixing a great mental workout (strategy) with a great physical workout (total body) Jiu Jitsu is often compared to physical chess. You can start the program at any time during the year and participate in any class without previous experience and, since safety is our main concern, there is no competitive sparring in our beginner program.

Hands down, this is the best MMA Gym facility in GTA with amazing skilled coaches that are warm and patient when teaching and fair when assessing students skills. This is a place where you need to learn martial arts and prove it during classes in order to get your belt.My son was first in the junior MMA program and he is now in the advanced MMA program. He has classes 3 times per week and he loves it. During the lockdown, Joel continued the training on Zoom with online classes, which were very helpful. Parents can also join different classes if they want to, so it is also a family oriented training facility.Highly recommended for all ages!

Great facility with professional instructors in a wide range of martial arts disciplines. The atmosphere in the gym is very friendly and welcoming. I consider this gym my second home. Highly recommended!

I feel so lucky that I found this gym! All the instructors are warm, encouraging, and excellent teachers. There are classes and private lessons for every age group...my young sons go, I go, my husband go, and my mother goes! I've never had this much fun getting strong and healthy! With over 30 years experience in Jiu Jitsu and Judo and a pioneer in the Canadian grappling community, the Rev MMA Toronto programs are overseen by World Master's Medalist, MMA veteran and multiple time Canadian Jiu Jitsu Champion, BJJ (IBJJF) and Judo (IJF) Black Belt, Joel Gerson.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu – Technical & Effective

Although Jiu Jitsu is comprised of over 500 techniques, our beginner classes focus on the most useful 36 moves used most often and with greater success than all the other techniques combined. You require zero experience to begin this program. All of our instructors design our classes in a safe and non-competitive training atmosphere, and are dedicated to ensure that all new students learn and enjoy their experience regardless of age, athletic ability, or gender.

What Will You Learn?

In our beginner program, you will learn core techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practiced in a fun, safe, and cooperative environment.

Each lesson focuses on fundamental movements related to both standing and ground techniques. To simplify the learning process we further break down these moves into drills or “slices” to reduce the learning curve.

You can start the program at any time and participate in any class without previous experience and without the feeling of being left out or embarrassed. Furthermore, since safety is our number one concern, there is no competitive sparring in beginners Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes.

At REV MMA, we don’t just teach people how to fight, we give people the confidence so they never need to.
