Anna brings a quiet kind of power to her classes. She is a Gracie Jiu Jitsu ICP Certified Instructor (California) and a personal student of Rev MMA Chief Instructor Joel Gerson.
Her career as a martial artist began with a desire to gain confidence and learn practical self-defense skills. It was also important for her to find a sport she could continue to practice after a spinal cord injury. Now Anna, a BJJ blue belt, has turned her personal challenge into a calling. For over 10 years, she has been teaching children, refining her techniques, and developing programs that integrate the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu philosophy with the physical practices.
Today, Anna is a dedicated BJJ kids coach, bringing patience, gentleness, and approachability to every class. She trains with precision and heart, showing Toronto families how resilience is built, step by step.
As a female instructor, Anna builds a positive environment where children feel safe, curious, and excited to learn:
Anna often says that her secret to teaching kids well is based on mixing structured training with fun activities. She always tells her students, “Practice makes perfect.” That way, even the most nervous beginners become confident martial artists.

Anna’s BJJ philosophy is simple: to create a friendly atmosphere where every child feels supported. She believes progress is personal. Some students succeed through repetition, others through play, and everybody learns at their own pace.
During her classes, she always makes sure kids’ BJJ skills and confidence develop together. Anna tailors instruction so beginners build basic motor skills and commitment while older kids refine timing, spatial awareness, and resilience. She prioritizes small, measurable wins so confidence grows alongside skill.
Her message in her own words: “I teach to light a spark: confidence, curiosity, and the courage to try again.” She applies this approach to all families across Toronto.
